Brady, Curt, and Rob when left for the LotoJa for the weekend. The mom's to the kids to SL for our own little vacation. We stayed at the Hyatt in the Gateway. We were only gone for 24 hours but we did fit a lot of fun into a short time! First things first at every hotel you have to SWIM!!!! Then off for dinner at The California Pizza Kitchen, some last minute shopping for Hawaii, a LAZER show at the Clark Planetarium, played in the fountain, then off to bed early. NOT!! We all stayed in the same room - yes all of us. Me, Blake, Hallie, Stacy, Conner, Sam, Rebecca, Tristan and Kiera. Somehow the giggle set in about 11:00 - Needless to say it was A LONG night in a little bed with both of my kids. Up early for breakfast, tried to swim before we left but the pool wasn't open yet, then off to the ZOO!!! We got to see the baby ELEPHANT that was born August 20. A newborn weighing in at 240 pounds! She was so cute! At first she was nursing, then she was playing with a ball - trying to stand on it. She didn't have great balance and walked wobbly. We saw 3 baby tigers, a baby snow leopard, a crazy singing monkey, penguins, baby giraffe born in July, and of course the penguins! All of the animals were out and most were awake. We even saw the cheetah up close which I've never seen. It was such a FUN day!! After the zoo we loaded up all of our tired animals and came home.
